CAIRO – 26 October 2025: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended the “Nation of Peace” celebration on Saturday, an event that brought together a star-studded lineup of Egyptian and Arab artists and carried powerful messages of victory, peace, and justice.
Held at the Opera House in the City of Arts and Culture at Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, the celebration marked Egypt’s October 1973 Victory against Israel and the cessation of two years of unrelenting Israeli in Gaza.
“October is a beautiful month, the month of victory,” El-Sisi said at the celebration.
“Victory does not come only through the strength of the army, but first through the strength of the people who refuse defeat. When a people refuse to be defeated, Allah grants them victory.”
He expressed gratitude to Allah for the cessation of the war in Gaza and alleviating two years of suffering for the Palestinian people, underscoring Egypt’s successful efforts that culminated in hosting the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace.
The president reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering stance against the displacement of Palestinians amid “all calls that had urged us to accept their departure from Gaza.”
“It is difficult to find yourself sometimes standing alone, thinking alone, while others are divided over whether they (the Palestinians) should be displaced or not.”
El-Sisi emphasized that decision-making carries great responsibility, stressing that Egypt’s cause is just and that the country never encroaches upon the rights of others.
He also extended his greetings to all participants, including Egypt’s artists, and praised the event’s inspiring messages.
The president called on universities, schools, and relevant state institutions to coordinate student visits to Sinai.
The Nation of Peace celebration featured performances by leading Egyptian and Arab artists, including Mohamed Mounir, Assala Nasri, Amal Maher, Ahmed Saad, Mohamed Hamaki, Hamza Namira, and Medhat Saleh.
It also included appearances by popular actors, including Hesham Maged, Mostafa Gharib, Mohamed Sallam, Ahmed Ghazy, Nour El-Nabawy, Youssef Omar, and Mostafa Emad.
