CAIRO - 25 October 2025: Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty invited Turkey to participate in the upcoming International Conference on Early Recovery and Reconstruction of Gaza, which will be held in Cairo in November.
This came during a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which the two ministers discussed the ongoing preparations for the international conference.
The call also addressed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and to follow up on regional developments of mutual interest.
The ministers examined bilateral relations between Egypt and Turkey, reaffirming both sides’ commitment to building on the positive momentum in their relations and enhancing cooperation across various political, economic, and investment sectors.
They also stressed the importance of advancing the path of consultation and coordination on regional and international issues to serve mutual interests and support security and stability in the region.
In this context, the ministers reviewed the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace and the resulting agreement to end the war in Gaza based on the U.S. president’s plan.
They stressed the importance of consolidating the agreement, which contributes to achieving security and stability in the region.
Abdelatty highlighted the importance of fully implementing the agreement’s terms to ensure a permanent ceasefire and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid to Gaza.
He also underscored the importance of ongoing coordination between Egypt and Turkey in monitoring phases of the agreement, in collaboration with regional and international partners.
