Egypt Dispatches 36th aid convoy to Gaza Sun, Sep. 14, 2025
CAIRO – 14 September 2025: Trucks from the 36th humanitarian aid convoy departed from the Rafah border crossing on the Egyptian side on Sunday, heading to the Kerem Shalom crossing.

The convoy is a part of the ongoing initiative “Zad Al-Izza… From Egypt to Gaza,” which aims to support the people of Gaza with essential food, medical supplies, and other relief items.

It conveys Egypt’s steadfast commitment to standing by the Palestinian people and alleviating their suffering during this prolonged crisis.

Al-Qahera News correspondent Ziad Qassem, reporting from the Rafah border crossing, confirmed that several trucks, particularly those carrying fuel, have been denied entry by the Israeli side, with no clear or publicly announced reasons.

Qassem explained that the 36th humanitarian aid convoy comprises dozens of trucks delivering thousands of tons of critical food and relief supplies to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The convoy includes food baskets, flour, legumes, canned meals, medical supplies, personal care items, infant formula, bottled water, and other essentials.

He added that the Egyptian Red Crescent has prepared and equipped dozens of additional trucks loaded with humanitarian, medical, food, and shelter supplies, including tents, ready for entry into Gaza.

The ongoing Israeli restrictions on the entry of fuel and other essential items continue to hamper relief efforts, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian situation in the besieged enclave.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced in an urgent appeal that the laboratories and blood banks in hospitals are suffering from a severe shortage of solutions and consumables for life-saving tests.

It announced in a separate statement on Saturday that in the past 24 hours, 47 martyrs and 205 new injuries have arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip. Besides, several victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them at this time.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 64,803 martyrs and 164,264 wounded since October 7, 2023.

Furthermore, the Gaza Strip hospitals recorded 7 deaths due to famine and malnutrition over the past 24 hours, including 2 children, bringing the total to 420, including 145 children.
