CAIRO – 28 August 2025: The 25th humanitarian aid convoy, "Zad al-Izza... from Egypt to Gaza," entered the Gaza Strip on Thursday, passing through the secondary gate of the Rafah border crossing and arriving at the Kerem Shalom crossing southeast of the strip.
An official source at the Rafah land port stated that the "Zad al-Izza... from Egypt to Gaza" convoy includes trucks carrying various aid, flour, legumes, rice, oil, and sugar, in addition to medicines, medical supplies, fuel, and other necessities of life and humanitarian relief, Egypt’s state-owned news agency MENA reported.
The "Zad El Ezza... From Egypt to Gaza" convoy, launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on July 27, has now delivered thousands of tons of diverse aid, including food, flour, baby formula, medical supplies, and fuel.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been a key national coordinating body for aid to Gaza since the crisis began. Its efforts have facilitated the entry of over half a million tons of humanitarian and relief aid, a monumental task supported by 35,000 volunteers.
Reports clarify that the Rafah crossing has never been permanently closed on the Egyptian side. The Egyptian Committee in Gaza continues to distribute aid to those in need, using a clear mechanism to ensure all supplies reach deserving families.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to worsen. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health on Wednesday, ten more people died from starvation and malnutrition in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of victims of famine and malnutrition to 313, including 119 children.
