CAIRO – 19 February 2025: Chief Justice of Palestine and Advisor to the Palestinian President on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash, emphasized on Wednesday that Egypt remains a formidable barrier against forced displacement plans targeting Palestinians.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Islamic-Islamic Dialogue Conference in Bahrain, Al-Habbash stressed that the true objective behind displacement is the eradication of Palestinian presence, a move that directly violates international law. He commended Arab nations, especially Egypt, for their unwavering support in defending Palestinian rights.

Al-Habbash highlighted that Egypt and the broader Arab world are sending a clear message: Palestinian rights are non-negotiable, and displacement or attempts to undermine Palestinian identity will not succeed amid strong Arab and Islamic solidarity.

Discussing the Islamic-Islamic Dialogue Conference, Al-Habbash emphasized that intra-Muslim dialogue is crucial before engaging with external entities. He noted that internal divisions must be bridged to restore unity, in alignment with the Qur’an’s teachings and Prophet Muhammad’s vision.

He described the conference as a valuable opportunity to foster reconciliation between different Islamic sects and strengthen the Muslim world’s internal cohesion.

Al-Habbash underscored that Islamic unity is a strategic necessity to counter external threats targeting the Muslim world. He stressed that minimizing ideological and sectarian differences will pave the way for a more resilient and cooperative Islamic front, built on a foundation of understanding and collaboration.
