CAIRO – 22 April 2019: The Future of Homeland Party declares in an official statement that it noticed the Muslim Brotherhood and their loyalists have tried to distort the Party's image after it has proved its effectiveness and presence in the mass media.

The Muslim Brotherhood tended to promote old photos of some of the Party's services on social media, aiming to distort its image, the statement said.

In response to this actions, the Party submitted, on Monday, April 22, several reports to the Public Prosecution against a number of individuals, websites and Facebook pages funded by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood and its agents.

The Party called on the media and newspapers to distinguish between the charity activities of MPs and organizations that coincide with the coming of Ramadan, and the party's organizational efforts to encourage the Egyptians to vote in the referendum.

"We cannot forget to pay tribute to the great Egyptian people who have the awareness, the political intelligence and the ability to overcome all the challenges,” the statement said referring to the intense participation of Egyptians in the referendum that dazzled the world.

The Brotherhood took different means to distort the civilized image of the referendum and pushed them to spread rumors and raise doubts on the Egyptian consciousness.

The referendum on constitutional amendments is held on April 20-22 domestically, and April 19-21 abroad. A total of 61 million eligible voters were called for casting their ballots in the public referendum on the constitutional amendments.

The voting process has concluded abroad on Sunday, and embassies have embarked in the voting count procedures.
