CAIRO - 23 October 2020: Al Azhar, the most prestigious religious institution in Egypt, has vehemently condemned the heinous terrorist attack by extremists who stabbed two Muslim women in Paris in an attempt to kill them.
In a statement, Al Azhar expressed full solidarity with the two women and their families.
It stressed its rejection of any vicious attack against any person whatever his/her religion is, urging all people to adopt the same stance vis-a-vis terror operations.
Azhar cautioned of double standards in dealing with assailants in view of their religion, expounding that this would create tension among people of different religions and creeds
