Egypt, Italy discuss ways to advance bilateral military cooperation

CAIRO – 17 September 2020: Egypt's Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi and Italian Ambassador in Cairo Giampaolo Cantini discussed Wednesday ways to advance cooperation with Italian companies and their counterparts in military production, in the areas of joint industrialization.



Minister Morsi stated that the meeting stressed the necessity of continuing and developing cooperation between the two sides, whether in the field of military or civilian industries, in accordance with the latest technologies used in these fields.



An invitation was also sent to technical delegations from Italian companies to visit military production companies to see the technological and human potentials.



It also identifies new aspects of cooperation, especially in the areas of joint manufacturing of submersible water pumps, in cooperation with the Italian company, Caprari, as well as the joint manufacture of agricultural mechanization equipment, axial irrigation, silo equipment, grain storage of all kinds, and cooperation in the software industry.
