Egypt looking forward to enhancing military production cooperation with Pakistan

CAIRO – 22 September 2025: Egyptian Minister of Military Production Mohamed Salah El-Din revealed that Egypt is looking forward to building new partnerships with Pakistani military production companies to enhance mutual benefits for both countries.

During a meeting with Pakistani Ambassador in Cairo Aamir Shouket, The minister of military production reviewed the activities of Egypt’s military industry and production, as the ministry has 15 industrial companies, a construction company, a center for scientific and technological excellence, a maintenance company, a training sector, a medical center, ammunition and weapons testing grounds, and an academy for engineering and advanced technology.

The minister also spoke about how the ministry is working to meet the military production needs of the armed forces and police, when it comes to the small, medium and heavy ammunition, weapons, tanks, armored vehicles, and advanced electronic systems.

The minister extended an invitation to the Pakistani companies to participate in the International Defense Industries Exhibition "EDEX 2025," scheduled to be held in Egypt from December 1 to 4, 2025, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo. The EDEX is the only African exhibition for the military industries sector.

For his part, the Pakistani ambassador voiced the Pakistani companies’ interest in enhancing cooperation with Egyptian military production companies, wishing success to the EDEX.
