CAIRO - 9 January 2019: Authorities foiled an attempt to smuggle tons of fossils in the form of petrified wood and rocks as they were hidden in marble put in two containers that would be exported from Ain Sokhna port.
The owner of the involved export company Abdel Khalek M. admitted that he was selling the confiscated fossils but denied he knew it was illegal to trade in them.
