Details of the announcement of the winner of the International Booker Prize for Translated Fiction

The International Booker Prize for Translated Fiction has announced the details of the ceremony for announcing the winning novel, which is awarded to the author and translator, in its 2022 session, which is scheduled to be announced today, Thursday, May 26, 2022.

The International Booker Prize for Translated Fiction revealed that the ceremony will be broadcast through the award's official account on the "Facebook" and "YouTube" platforms, at 9:45 pm GMT.


The 2022 short list includes previous International Booker Prize winners Olga Tokarczuk, Nobel Prize winner in literature and Jennifer Croft, along with first-time authors and translators. English: Korean, Norwegian, Japanese, Spanish, Hindi and Polish.

Six shortlisted novels are competing for the International Booker Prize for Fiction:

Sky, by Miku Kawakami, translated by Samuel Pete David Boyd

"Elena Knows" by Claudia Pinheiro, translated by Francis Riddell

A New Name: Sixth and Seventh Seventh Biology by John Foss, translated by Damion Searles
