Achievements of 7 years.. Tanta Museum comes back to life after 19 years of neglect

Tanta Museum is the only museum in Gharbia Governorate, which has been closed for 19 years, and Egypt managed during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to reopen it again in 2019, at a cost of 13 million pounds, to include 2,000 antiquities from different eras of rare artifacts and different currencies. For many families, dating back to the Pharaonic, Roman, Islamic and Coptic eras.

Among the holdings of the Tanta Museum is a bronze statue of Isis Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty in the Greco-Roman era. It was found in the city of Sa el-Hajar "Basyoun Center", which was one of the capitals of Egypt in the late era. It depicts the goddess standing wearing a crown consisting of two long feathers with a sun disk in the middle. Below them are two ears of wheat, and the crown rests on a representation of a female eagle above the head of the goddess, who is represented with curly hair, beautiful feminine features and a consistent body, and she wears a robe with many folds, and the statue stands on a round base, and is one of the most beautiful art produced in the Greco-Roman era.

The museum consists of 5 floors, the first floor includes the reception, lift, and introductory panels for the museum, and the second and third floor includes artifacts and statues that will be displayed to citizens and the public starting today, Saturday, and the fourth floor includes a conference room with 200 chairs, in which conferences and cultural seminars are held, and the floor Fifth offices and office of the Director General of the Museum.
