Heavy artifacts are installed on the grand staircase of the Grand Museum

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has finished placing 22 heavy artifacts on the grand staircase of the Grand Egyptian Museum, after preparing and installing the bases of all the heavy statues, which will number at the opening of the museum for 87 statues, for the kings of the great staircase. This is done in cooperation with the Arab Contractors Company and under the full supervision of specialists from the Grand Museum of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and a careful follow-up by Dr. Khaled Al Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and Major General Atef Moftah, the general supervisor of the Grand Museum.

 Dr. Essa Zidan, Director General of Executive Affairs for Restoration and Transportation of Antiquities at the Grand Egyptian Museum, said that the work is carried out in a proper and distinct scientific manner in lifting and fixing the artifacts that are on the stairs and the work starts from eight in the morning and continues until midnight, stressing that the great staircase will be one of the best exhibition halls not It is in the great museum only, but in all the museums of the world.

On the scenario of the museum display of the grand staircase, Dr. Al-Tayeb Abbas, director of archaeological affairs at the Grand Egyptian Museum, said that he focuses on the two themes of royal image, gods and kings, and is divided into four sections, and the first section will deal with how the king was represented in three-dimensional sculptures / sculptures, and many of these things are large And impressive statues while others will be smaller and with more details these exhibits will spread in history from the era of the ancient state until the Roman era, while the second section focuses on the status of the goddess, and this representation will include the kings during their participation in religious rituals and presentation The offerings of the gods, and this will be displayed in addition to the pillars, columns and other distinctive elements of the temples constructed for the gods commissioned by the king, and vary between the ancient, central and modern state.
