CAIRO - 9 December 2020: Egypt's Minister of Planning Hala el Saeed said that the meeting with the representatives of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) with the participation of 33 ambassadors of the OECD member states aimed at gathering political support for the results of economic reform in Egypt and discussing Egypt's regional program.


This came in a statement of the Ministry of Planning on Wednesday on the meeting that was held via video conference, according to the state news agency, MENA.


Saeed said that the program will give a chance to Egypt to boost its participation in the technical and work committees in the different domains to promote its regional and international role.


Saeed said that Egypt is working on forming a regional program in cooperation with the OECD to set the different cooperation initiatives in the different fields with the organization.


The program aims at supporting development in the important domains for the Egyptian government, Saeed said.


The program comprises five axes including governance and combating corruption, innovation, statistics and follow up, comprehensive, sustainable economic and social development and the targets of sustainable development, Saeed said.


The ambassadors lauded the reforms witnessed in Egypt and the investments and tangible developments in the current situation and they offered cooperating with Egypt in the different domains.


The meeting also tackled the vision over the situation of women in the current reforms taking place in Egypt and the digital transformation system.
