CAIRO – 20 October 2025: The Egyptian Red Crescent dispatched on Monday the 54th humanitarian aid convoy under the initiative “Zad Al-Ezza... From Egypt to Gaza”, which includes several trucks carrying urgent humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip.

The convoy was carrying more than 9,000 tons of urgent humanitarian aid, including more than 4,000 tons of food baskets, more than 3,000 tons of essential medical and relief supplies, and more than 2,300 tons of petroleum products.

Egypt has launched the “Zad Al-Ezza... From Egypt to Gaza” convoy, by the Red Crescent on July 27. It carried thousands of tons of aid, including food supply chains, flour, baby formula, medical supplies, therapeutic medications, personal care items, and tons of fuel.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present on the border since the beginning of the crisis, serving as the national mechanism for coordinating and dispatching aid to Gaza.

The Rafah crossing has never been closed on the Egyptian side, and it has maintained its readiness at all logistical centers and its ongoing efforts to deliver more than half a million tons of humanitarian and relief aid, thanks to the efforts of 35,000 volunteers.

This latest convoy is part of broader Egyptian efforts to provide continuous food, medical, and logistical support to the people of Gaza amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
