CAIRO - 13 September 2020: Egypt's Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayyed El Quseir reiterated Friday the importance of reinforcing inter-regional trade cooperation among African states, especially after the global outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.
Quseir’s remarks came in a speech he delivered during a roundtable meeting for the African Green Revolution Forum 2020 (AGRF) through the video conference technology on the investment potentials in the agriculture and food sectors.
The meeting grouped African agriculture ministers, the AU commissioner for Rural Economy and Agriculture, a UN representative, along with other representatives of the World Bank and international donor agencies.
Quseir briefed participants on the anti-coronavirus precautionary measures, implemented by the Egyptian government, which successfully made the outbreak of COVID-19 in Egypt "in check", a move praised by several international organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO).
Egypt has directed all of its potentials to serve the African countries, the minister stressed.
