CAIRO, 19 July 2020: Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry will start later on Sunday a tour that will take him to Amman and Ramallah.

In statement Sunday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said, during his visit to Amman the Egyptian minister will meet with King Abdullah II.

Shoukry will also hold talks with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman al Safadi on the latest regional developments as well as the latest development in the Palestinian lands, the spokesman said.

Later, Shoukry is set to arrive in Ramallah to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, added the spokesman.

Shoukry's visit to the Palestinian lands comes in line with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's s stand in support of Palestinians' legitimate right to establish their own state and is meant to reflect Egypt's solid stand in support of the Palestinian people, especially amid Israeli occupation' plans to press ahead with annexation policies, according to the spokesman.
