CAIRO - 14 October 2025: U.S. President Donald Trump co-chaired on Monday the International Peace Summit in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, affirming it is "a very important day."
“No body thought this was possible,” Trump added while he was speaking with the press on Air Force One on his way back to the United States, after signing Gaza Peace deal as part of his Middle East visit.
When asked about his remarks on safety status and crime in Egypt, Trump answered “They [Egypt] are very strong on crime, you wouldn’t believe how strong,” according to a recording posted by Live Now from Fox.
“You can actually walk down a park and not get mugged or hit over the head with a baseball baton,” Trump added.
In this context, he highlighted that the states saw 4,000 murders in shootings only over the course of a year and a half; a short period of time.
When the journalist asked him if he wants to see more U.S. governors more like Egypt when it comes to crime, he said “I want them to be stronger and tougher and not allow us to get record breaking crimes in Chicago and different places, and I want them to admit they have crime.”
