CAIRO - 16 April 2025: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, at his residence in Kuwait City, during his visit to Kuwait, the second stop of his Gulf tour.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that the Crown Prince welcomed President El-Sisi to his second home, praising Egypt's efforts to achieve regional security and stability, and expressing Kuwait's aspiration for this visit to enhance bilateral relations in various fields, reflecting the close ties between the two countries.
The spokesperson noted that discussions between the two sides covered the latest regional developments, most notably in Gaza, as Sisi outlined Egypt's efforts to achieve a ceasefire.
Both leaders stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire, the exchange of hostages and detainees, full access for humanitarian aid, and the initiation of Gaza's reconstruction according to the Arab plan.
They emphasized their rejection of Palestinian displacement from their land and affirmed the importance of continued international efforts to revive a serious political process leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The meeting also touched upon developments in Syria, regional and international efforts to resolve the Yemeni crisis, and support for stability in Sudan.
Furthermore, the spokesperson added that President El-Sisi expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality since his arrival in Kuwait, emphasizing his desire to strengthen cooperation with Kuwait under the leadership of Emir Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, particularly in economic and investment areas.
President El-Sisi also commended Kuwait's efforts to develop its economy in line with Vision 2035, expressing hope for increased trade and investment between the two countries.
