CAIRO - 14 April 2025: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar at the Amiri Diwan in Doha, during his official visit to Qatar as part of his Gulf tour.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that President El-Sisi and the Emir chaired an expanded meeting involving delegations from both countries, followed by bilateral talks between the two leaders.

The spokesperson noted that the two leaders exchanged views on efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and address the deteriorating humanitarian situation by providing sufficient humanitarian aid to the enclave’s residents.

Both leaders firmly rejected the displacement of Palestinians from their land and emphasized the need to support the Arab plan for Gaza's reconstruction. They stressed the importance of a political horizon leading to an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The leaders also discussed regional issues, including the situations in Syria, Lebanon, and Sudan, emphasizing the importance of preserving their unity, territorial integrity, and protecting their people's resources and stability.
