CAIRO – 21 November 2021: Health Officer at UNICEF Egypt Country Office Essam Allam stated in a phone-in Saturday evening that Egypt provides 99 percent of children with all the vaccines they need hailing the Egyptian state with that regard.



The UN official also lauded the eagerness of parents to vaccinate their children, particularly against measles, diphtheria, and polio.



On the front of handling COVID-19, Allam affirmed that Egypt followed the international standards by shifting to online education at the beginning of the pandemic, and vaccinating school teachers and students aged between 15 and 18.



He also pointed out that the epidemic did not obstruct the vaccination of children against other diseases over the past year and a half.
