Cultural palaces celebrate the perpendicularity of the sun on the face of the statue of Ramses II

Under the patronage of Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture and Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, the activities of the Aswan Festival to celebrate the perpendicularity of the sun on the face of the statue of Ramses II in Abu Simbel Temple, which is held by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces headed by Dr. Ahmed Awad through the Central Administration for Technical Affairs of the Authority, was launched during the period From 19 to 21 October.

The celebrations began with a visit to an exhibition of environmental and Aswanic crafts for women's culture, then the activities of the artistic concert began at the Fawzi Fawzi "Summer" theater in the Republican Peace, followed by a performance by the teams of the festival's participating corps, "Toshka" for spontaneous arts, and "Beni Suef, Luxor, Aswan" for arts The Aswan Ensemble performed a number of dance performances, including "Al-Farah, Al-Kaf, Al-Arajid", and the Luxor Ensemble performed the "Al-Farah" show, in addition to the Beni Suef Ensemble presenting the show "The Palm of Beni Suef, the Stick Dance", and the Toshka Automatic Troupe concluded the ceremony. The opening is with songs and performances that express the Nubian environment, including “Asmar Chertu, Masha'allah prayers, I am proud of my civilization.

The ceremony was supervised by artist Ahmed El Shafei, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Affairs, and it came in the presence of the Head of the Central Administration of the Authority’s Chairman’s Office, the Head of the Central Administration for South Upper Egypt, the Director General of Culture in Aswan, and a number of executive leaders in the governorate.
