The Film Palace launches a competition for the best short screenplay scenario for "Corona" virus

The Cinema Palace of the General Authority of Cultural Palaces has announced the organization of a competition for the best screenplay for a short feature film dealing with the emerging crisis of the Corona virus, which causes the disease "Covid-19". The competition terms include:

1- The film should be no more than 15 minutes long.

2- The film’s story should be original and not adapted from a literary work.

3 not to be more than 35 years old.

4- The author should submit only one work.

5- The submitted works will be sent in (pdf) format on the official page of the Cinema Palace on the social networking site (facebook) and send with the script the CV of the author of the work.

6- The deadline for film projects to be received on May 15, 2020.


7- The results of the competition will be announced on 28 Ramadan 1441 AH, 2020 AD.

Competition Awards:

1- The General Authority of Culture Palaces Shield + Certificate of Merit for the first-place winner + 1500 pounds.

2- Certificate of Merit for the second position + 1000 pounds.

3- Certificate of Merit for the third place + 500 pounds.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Culture reopened the "Cinema Palace" in Garden City, central Cairo, last June, after a 3-year hiatus, and the palace began to receive its fans, and those wishing to participate in activities and study sessions again, after completing the project of developing and rehabilitating it. .

The Ministry of Culture has prepared a program for the operation of the palace, which includes "specialized training courses, a monthly photography exhibition that includes snapshots from the works of the most important and famous directors, clubs for global, African, Latin and European cinema, a club for first-time films, whether fictional or documentary, and screenings for films adapted from feature works, along with Produce a set of documentaries. "
