Corona virus created many crises in various institutions of the countries of the world, but there are institutions that dealt with the virus with great wisdom and volunteered home quarantine to something useful by dealing with the digital revolution that was used by millions of people from all over the world

The technology enabled work from home and entertainment, and among those institutions that "Covid 19" did not interfere with is the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.


 Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, the Minister of Culture, remedied the dangers of the virus and started to implement the decisions of the Prime Minister to suspend cultural and artistic activities and activities and prevent gatherings altogether to limit the spread of the epidemic disease. Supreme Council of Culture

 Hisham Azmy, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture, said that the Council activates more than one initiative electronically, including the initiative of short seminars that will result in providing awareness messages to address the Corona virus by the committees of psychology, sociology and scientific culture. Stressing that the electronic initiatives presented by the Supreme Culture in light of this crisis will not stop at all even after the crisis has ended, because it has achieved great resonance and interaction between people.

The Egyptian Book Authority

As part of the "Culture in Your Hands" initiative, the Egyptian General Book Authority has presented many different books on the Internet for free browsing and without any charge, in addition to the National Center for Translation, the House of Books and National Documents, and the Cultural Development Fund.

 Haitham Al-Haj Ali, head of the Book Authority, said that the authority has benefited from that experience and is sure to do it after the end of the Corona crisis, in addition to the fact that the authority can make the purchase of e-books.

 

Fine Arts Sector
Within the initiative of the Ministry of Culture, the Fine Arts Sector has provided full contents to all its art museums for display online on the Ministry of Culture channel, so you can tour each museum from within your home.

 Dr. Khaled Sorour, Head of the Fine Arts Sector, said that the arts sector is presenting panorama about its art exhibitions, which will be displayed on its official page, and will do more on-line art exhibitions after the completion of the Corona crisis.

 The National Child Culture
Within the initiative, the center presented many cultural and artistic activities and awareness-raising against Corona, through children's stories, theatrical performances and cinematic films, and activities received great interaction between children and the creators of the center.

Mohamed Abdel-Hafez Nassef said that the National Center for Child Culture before the Corona Crisis had 300 children in the park, in light of the crisis, the children interacted via the Internet and the center estimated that 50,000 children per day reach, following that the activities provided by the center will do after the Corona crisis after success Achieved during the past days.

It is worth noting, the Ministry of Culture monitored through its YouTube channel, 11 million and 508 thousand visitors, interacted with them and watched shows one million and 2,615 people, with a total number of viewing hours so far, 126 thousand and 737 hours, as the channel registered 83 thousand subscribers.

The intensity of the observations came in more than 25 countries around the world in order, namely Egypt - Saudi Arabia - America - UAE - Canada - Kuwait - Germany - England - France - Netherlands - Jordan - Australia - Oman - Bahrain - Iraq - Tunisia - Italy - Morocco and others.
