CAIRO – 10 September 2025: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a phone call on Tuesday with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, according to statement by the Egyptian Presidency.
Sisi expressed Egypt’s strong condemnation and deep denunciation of Israel’s act of aggression against the State of Qatar, stressing Cairo’s categorical rejection of any violation of Qatari sovereignty.
The President reaffirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Qatar in face of such a blatant breach of international law and the UN Charter, characterizing the assault as a provocative act against the sovereignty of a sisterly Arab state and an unacceptable threat to its security, safety, and territorial integrity.
He also confirmed Egypt’s full support for any measures taken by Qatar to safeguard its stability and security.
For his part, Sheikh Tamim expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt’s stance, praising the fraternal ties binding the two countries and their peoples.
The Qatari Emir briefed President Sisi on the latest developments following the flagrant Israeli attack.
Both leaders agreed on the urgent need for the international community to assume its responsibilities in addressing this Israeli violation, ensuring accountability for those involved, and halting any further encroachments on states’ sovereignty in order to preserve regional and international peace and security.
