Cairo – 10 September 2025: Egypt condemned in the strongest and harshest terms the blatant Israeli aggression against Qatar, which targeted the Hamas political bureau leaders in Doha, in flagrant violation of the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter, and in disregard of international rules and norms.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, Egypt affirmed its full solidarity and full support for Qatar as well as for its leadership, government and people in the face of this shameful aggression.
This aggressive Israeli approach clearly reflects Israel's premeditated intention to destroy all chances for achieving calm and de-escalation and reaching an agreement that would guarantee a ceasefire and the release of hostages, Cairo said.
It also reflects Israel's complete lack of political will to move toward peace as well as its insistence to continue its aggression and its systematic violations of international law, the statement read.
While Egypt affirms its absolute rejection of any form of aggression against Arab lands, it reiterates that the security and stability of the sisterly State of Qatar is a pillar of Arab national security and that undermining it represents an extremely dangerous development that cannot be accepted under any pretext or justification, said the statement.
Egypt warned of "the grave consequences of this brutal and unprecedented Israeli escalation and the serious risks it entails to the stability of the region, the undermining of de-escalation efforts, and the expansion of confrontations at the expense of the safety of civilians and the security of peoples," read the statement.
Cairo also cautioned all regional and international parties against Israel’s reckless policy aimed at expanding the scope of conflict and undermining all the peace gains achieved over the past decades.
