CAIRO – 20 September 2021: Libyan Minister of Interior Khaled Mazen expressed Monday aspiration to enhance the training of Libyan police members by the Egyptian side.

That was during a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Mahmoud Tawfik, who asserted Egypt's commitment to providing backing and support to the Libyan police institutions to overcome the challenges they face.

Mazen is heading a high-profile delegation in a visit to Egypt. The visit is part of the Egyptian ministry's strategy to develop security cooperation with fellow Arab states, and eagerness to provide technical support and expertise necessary to reinforce regional security and stability.

Both ministers also discussed a number of security matters of mutual interest, and ways of expanding security cooperation between both sides.

The Libyan delegation's program in Cairo consisted of visits to Police Academy, the General Security Sector, and the operations room of the security sector.
