Egyptian, Algerian FMs discuss means of cooperation

CAIRO – 4 May 2021: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed over the phone with Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sabri Boukadoum cooperation means between the two countries.

"With my brother Sameh Shoukry, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, we expressed our satisfaction at the level of ongoing cooperation ties between both countries, which have been always marked with mutual understanding and respect." Boukadoum wrote on his Twitter account.

They also expressed their keenness on boosting bilateral cooperation in a way that fulfill the aspirations of the two countries' peoples.

In January 2020, Foreign Minister Shoukry flew to Algeria to convey President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi's message to Algerian President Abdel Madjid Tebboune.

During the visit, Shoukry met his Algerian counterpart Sabri Boukadoum as they discussed the bilateral relations, ways of promoting cooperation, in addition to Middle East and North Africa crises, particularly the Libyan turmoil.
