CAIRO - 8 April 2025: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi emphasized on Tuesday that Egypt is wrking tirelessly to achieve an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and continue the entry of humanitarian aid.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Mohamed El-Shennawy, said in a statement, after Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron visited the city of El-Arish: "The two presidents emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire and the importance of working to expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid and ensure the protection of civilians and relief workers."
He added that this visit "reaffirms France's solidarity with Egypt's significant efforts to receive and care for the wounded among the Palestinian people as a result of the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip."
Furthermore, he highlighted both leaders strong rejection of any attempts aimed at displacing Palestinians from their land during the visit.
