Egypt, Djibouti discuss launching direct flights

CAIRO - 25 February 2020: Minister of Aviation Mohamed Manar discussed on Sunday with Djibouti Ambassador in Egypt Mohamed Zohr Harsi, the launch of direct flights and operating an air flights between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed ways to boost joint cooperation in the field of air transport.

Furthermore, the meeting tackled transporting Egyptian expertise in that field to Djibouti in light of the importance the Egyptian civil aviation sector attaches to supporting and strengthening cooperation with African countries.

For his part, Manar asserted the depth of the historical and strategic relations between Egypt and Djibouti, adding that the ministry harnesses its full potential to provide technical and advisory support for the advancement of the aviation sector in Djibouti.

Meanwhile, Harsi expressed his happiness with this meeting, praising the huge development inside the Aviation Ministry, which is one of the most important pioneers in the African air transport industry.
