The Cairo International Book Fair will start after a few months, as it is scheduled to be held from January 26 to February 6, 2022 AD, according to what the Egyptian Book Authority, headed by Dr. Haitham Al-Haj Ali, announced that the door for participation for publishing houses will be opened from last Sunday, October 24 to 18 February 2021, and that is why, in the following report, we explain the locations of Egyptian, Arab and foreign publishing houses and children's book publishers.
Based on the decision of the exhibition’s Supreme Committee, hall “1-2” is allocated to Egyptian publishers for general and academic publication, and 20% of children’s and foreign books if produced by the house only.
Hall "3" is allocated to the main exhibition hall, Arab publishers and Al-Kitab Al-Janbi, and Hall "4" is allocated to the book of heritage, press and Azbakia institutions, and Hall "5" is for children's book, educational aids and the educational book.
The observations came to the publishing houses in the way that it is not allowed to sign parties for publishers inside their wings, bearing in mind that places outside the halls have been allocated for parties, provided that notification and coordination with the exhibition management schedule the signing parties 15 days before the start of the exhibition, and it is not allowed to exceed the ceremony outside the allocated space, and whoever violates that By holding a signing ceremony that is not included in the list submitted to the exhibition management or inside the pavilions, the penalty will be applied according to the violations clauses.
Publishing houses must also participate through the electronic registration of publishers on the new platform of the exhibition, bearing in mind that all publishers' publications will be announced on the portal and application of the exhibition.
The exhibition management is also notified by an official letter to hold a "signing ceremony and discussion or symposium" in the halls designated for this, at least 30 days before the start of the exhibition, bearing in mind that the value of booking the hall is "1500 pounds per hour".
According to the terms of reference, the authority has the right to cancel any of the aforementioned concerts, or to modify the venue of the ceremony and notify the publishing house of the cancellation or modification of the venue.
Exhibitions are also not entitled to install any posters whatsoever on walls or corridors, and in case of violation, the exhibitor will be fined 500 pounds for each poster installed, and it is permissible to install inside the wings only and without heights.
