CAIRO – 22 September 2025: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty, met on Sunday with met with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Abdullah Al-Yahya in New York.
Minister Abdelatty praised the strength of the historical fraternal relations between Egypt and Kuwait, and the unprecedented push they have witnessed following high-level mutual visits over the past and current years.
He emphasized Egypt's aspiration to hold the fourteenth session of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Joint Committee to promote investments and joint projects. He also expressed interest in expanding tripartite cooperation with Kuwait on the African continent to serve development and stability.
The Egyptian Top Diplomat condemned the Israeli aggression against the State of Qatar, affirming the absolute rejection of any attempts to undermine the security and stability of the Gulf States.
He also reiterated his condemnation of the Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing violations in the West Bank, warning of the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of Israel's targeting of civilians and its adoption of systematic policies of starvation and displacement.
He stressed the need for an immediate and comprehensive cessation of Israeli military operations, ensuring urgent and unconditional access for humanitarian aid to Gaza, and continuing to mobilize international support for expanding recognition of the Palestinian state and working together to end the occupation.
Minister Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's unwavering commitment to Gulf security as an integral part of its national security, emphasizing the importance of Egyptian-Gulf coordination to confront foreign interventions that threaten Arab national security.
