Wael al-Dahdouh: We Appreciate Egypt’s Efforts, Hope for End to Suffering and Pain in Gaza

Gaza’s heroic journalist Wael al Dahdouh arrived in Egypt on Tuesday via Rafah border crossing.

The Prominent Journalist who became a Palestinian symbol and hero during the Israeli aggression on Gaza thanked the Egyptian authorities for facilitating the procedures of bringing him into Egypt.

The Aljazeera journalist lost his wife and three of his children in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, while sustaining an injury himself. He has garnered worldwide empathy and admiration for continuing to cover the war despite his severe personal losses.





In statements to al Qahera news channel upon his arrival, Dahdouh said that he hopes that the suffering in Gaza will stop and that the Palestinian people will obtain their rights, with the help of Egypt and all countries of the Islamic world.

Al-Dahdouh added, that the people of Gaza value all effort made by Egypt and all countries that seek to support the rights of Palestinians, stressing that he “hopes that these efforts will culminate in the return of rights to Palestinian people and that these wars and pains will eventually end”.

The Egyptian Journalists Syndicate also thanked the Egyptian state and bodies concerned for responding to a request of the syndicate to facilitate the entrance of Palestinian journalist Wael el Dahdouh to Egypt to receive treatment.

In a statement, the syndicate said that Dahdouh thanked Egypt and all Egyptian journalists for supporting the Palestinian cause.

The syndicate reiterated the importance of stopping the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories.
