Moroccan Monarch Grateful for Egypt's Aid During Earthquake Crisis

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry made a phone call Tuesday to Moroccan counterpart Nasser Borita extending condolences on the victims of the earthquake, that hit the country Friday incurring over 2,800 deaths, and reiterating Egypt's support and solidarity with the Moroccan people.



On the other hand, Minister Borita expressed the gratitude and appreciation of King Mohamed VI for the assistance and solidarity provided by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, valuing Egypt's declaration of three days of mourning in solidarity with Morocco.



President Sisi met Tuesday with a number of commanders of the Egyptian Armed Forces, instructing the delivery of humanitarian aid, rescue teams and equipment, as well as camping gear to Libya and Morocco by both air and sea.
