CAIRO – 6 June 2020: More than 20,000 stranded Egyptians abroad returned back home since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, said Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram.
“There are proposals to form a committee to study the qualifications of Egyptians returning from abroad to help them find jobs,” Makram added.
She further explained that there are planes that will take off to return more stranded Egyptians from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Cyprus, and Europe during the coming period.
Makram continued saying that the newly-formed committee aims to introduce the returnees to the medium and small sized projects.
She also praised the efforts exerted by the “Let’s support eachother” Initiative that aimed to help stranded Egyptians in different countries amid precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
