The story of an monument.. "Royal Statue" dating back to the era of the New Kingdom and displayed at the Airport Museum

Today, we shed light on an artifact, which is the "upper part of a royal statue", and we continuously review a piece with its image and some information about that piece and the place it was displayed, as well as the era to which it belongs.

Perhaps this part of the statue, which dates back to the era of the New Kingdom, the Eighteenth Dynasty, about (1550-1295 BC). It represents King Tuthmosis III, one of the greatest kings and rulers of ancient Egypt, the son of King Tuthmosis II, and the sixth ruler of the Eighteenth Dynasty. He took power after his father's wife, Queen Hatshepsut. He had outstanding military prowess, political prowess, and a leading personality that enabled him to lead the country with an effective strategy that established Egypt's position as a great power in the ancient world. Until he became the most prominent of the great warrior kings in history, and the statue is displayed at Al-Qahrah Airport in Hall 2.

Hall 2 Museum includes about 304 unique artifacts that highlight the artistic and historical features of each era of historical Egypt, starting from ancient Egyptian times through the Greco-Roman, Coptic and Islamic eras, and the era of the Alawite dynasty, in addition to the book of religions, which expresses the extent of religious tolerance witnessed in Egypt, the land of heavenly religions. It displays the Holy Qur'an from the era of Khedive Tawfiq, the manuscript of Saffar Esther, and the book of praises "Isalmudia" for Shahrakik and contains a pictorial view of Adam and Eve.

The museum display expresses luminous touches in the history of Egypt over its past, as the museum displays unique artifacts that highlight the artistic and historical features of each era, beginning with ancient Egyptian times, in addition to highlighting the characteristics of Roman, Coptic, Islamic and modern arts, as well as pieces that highlight the existence of Egypt as a cradle for all Heavenly religions and religious sects gathered under their shadows in peace and harmony.

The artifacts at the airport were selected from the stores of a number of museums, including those of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, the Suez Museum and the Greco-Roman Museum, to reflect the different aspects of the ancient Egyptian civilization since ancient Egyptian, Coptic and Islamic times.

Tickets for entering the museum were set at low prices, as the price of the entry ticket for each museum was 3 dollars, or 50 Egyptian pounds for the foreign visitor, and 25 Egyptian pounds for the Egyptian visitor.
