Al-Haddad added, during a phone call to the “Today” program, presented by the media, Sarah Hazem, via the “dmc” channel, that President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi attaches importance to the national project and the historical development plan of Esna, where work is now underway in coordination with all concerned authorities from For the re-history of the unique city and the restoration of the Esna Temple inscriptions.

"The Seventh Day" monitored the continuation of work on the national project and the historical development plan of Esna, by starting the demolition operations of the dilapidated houses that surround the Temple of Esna with an area of ​​2074 meters, as part of the plans to develop the historic city, which is in full swing under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Local Development and Luxor Governorate. .

Work has begun as a continuation of the work on the project of the historical and heritage city of Esna, and the start of reviving the historic city of Esna in the area of ​​the Akhnum temple, removing an area behind the temple, making a large square for the temple, a developed cultural center and an international cafe area, and developing, restoring and rehabilitating the temple area and the new tourist walkway.

And participated in the operations of lifting and removing houses in the area surrounding the Esna Temple, 5 dump trucks, a Duqqaq and 4 loaders, and the Al-Bahr Street was closed with Al-Sadadat, the Tourist Market Street, Al-Dawy Mosque Street, Al-Qaysariya Street, Al-Suwaiqah, Darb Al-Hajar Street, Church Street, Al-Zawiya Al-Baida Street, Al-Jubeirat Street and Sidi Ibrahim Al-Maghazi Mosque Street, by a decision. Dr. Khaled El-Anany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Major General Mahmoud Shaarawy, Minister of Local Development, held a meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Local Development to review proposals for the development and revitalization of the historic city of Esna, in the presence of Counselor Mostafa Elham, Governor of Luxor, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, and Dr. Mustafa Waziri, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
