Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, will inaugurate the Al-Mashhad exhibition, accompanied by Dr. Khaled Sorour, Head of the Fine Arts Sector, and Dalia Mostafa, Head of the Central Administration of Arts Centers, at exactly six o’clock in the evening next Monday at the Arts Complex (Aisha Fahmy Palace) in Zamalek, and the exhibition will continue until Saturday May 14 next.
Artist Ehab Al-Labban, director of the Arts Complex and exhibition organizer, said that the Al-Mashhad exhibition in its first version is one of the most important exhibitions in the Arts Complex as it seeks to present the current artistic movement with its different directions and its many components that define the features of contemporary Egyptian art with its rich diversity in various directions artistically, technically and conceptually.
Ihab El-Labban explained, “In these successive editions of this exhibition, we seek to monitor all the effective and influential experiences in the form and formation of the Egyptian artistic movement annually, which are presented by Egyptian artists of all ages and artistic trends, in a serious attempt to follow up and document these various experiences annually and display them side by side in the context of A single artist draws and identifies the developments of the art scene from now to time so that this exhibition becomes an annual reference and a witness to the developments and transitions of Egyptian art with its great wealth and its permanent leadership, assisting with that concept, scholars, researchers and the Egyptian art public in following up on all the experiences presented by Egyptian artists on a regular basis, noting that according to For this concept, this exhibition may be a new and important tributary for contemporary Egyptian artists, as they are the actual component that makes and shapes the Egyptian art scene with all its elements and variables.
This exhibition includes nearly ninety artworks representing various experiences and artistic trends that represent the Egyptian plastic movement today.
