The 53rd edition of the Cairo International Book Fair will start from January 26 to February 7, 2022, at the Egypt Center for International Exhibitions and Conferences in the Fifth Settlement, and Greece will be the guest of honor. Culture and the question of the future.
There is an increase in the number of Arab publishers, and the participation has so far reached more than 250 publishers, in addition to agencies, bodies and official wings from most Arab countries, including the UAE, Algeria, Bahrain, Oman, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Morocco, in addition to foreign and African countries, including Mauritania and Somalia.
The exhibition will also witness the participation of Greek publishers, as the country of the guest of honor, and a large pavilion will be dedicated to Greece, and to introduce Greek culture, noting that a special section will be devoted to specialized books such as university books and publishing houses specialized in legal and engineering books, in addition to the place for educational and school books.
The 53rd session will witness the launch of new services on the exhibition’s digital platform, the most important of which is the delivery of books to homes, and they will be activated in cooperation with the Postal Authority, noting that the services will extend to all publishing houses participating in the exhibition and cover all the governorates of Egypt, and will be for a small fee, and the service will be circulated to all Governorates, for the first time of its kind in Egypt, in cooperation with the Postal Authority, and any reader whose circumstances prevented him from attending the book fair can order one of the books by shipping, provided that he pays a nominal fee for the shipping cost.
