The House of Culture and Science, known as the Sinnari House, is organizing a poetry and lyrical evening open to the public under the title "The Clear Side of Heaven", next Thursday at 7:00 pm, at the Archaeological House of Sinnari in Sayeda Zeinab, affiliated to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The evening includes a set of paragraphs that combine colloquial poetry and singing, where excerpts from the poetry collections "Fardda Halaq" and "The Al-Taraf Al-Bayin M Al-Jana" by writer Iman Al-Mihi will be presented, and a group of songs stemming from and derived from the Egyptian heritage of the artist and singer; Dhamma names.
This evening comes within the framework of the interest in spreading awareness and culture and encouraging young talents, as well as presenting purposeful arts and introducing colloquial poetry and its history, music and its importance in the life of the individual and society, in addition to encouraging young people to benefit from their talents and skills, and creating a creative artistic cultural situation among young people.
It is worth noting that the writer Iman Al-Mihi; She is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts, Department of Media, Radio Department, and she is an Egyptian colloquial poet. She has published a book entitled “Farda Halaq” and another book entitled “The Bright Side of Heaven.” She also works in the field of teaching the art of recitation for children and adults.
The Sinnari House (1198-1208 AH / 1783-1794 AD) is one of the finest examples of residential buildings from the homes and palaces of princes and senior statesmen in an important period in the history of Egypt. The house is of special historical importance, as its history is linked to the French campaign against Egypt 1798-1801 AD; A number of members of the Science and Arts Committee within the campaign resided there, most of whom were painters and engineers.
