Dr. Zahi Hawass, an Egyptian archaeologist, met in front of the Great Sphinx with many prominent personalities from different countries of the world who attended one of the art exhibitions in the Giza Pyramids area, an exhibition that mixes contemporary art with the ancient Egyptian civilization.
Zahi Hawass explained, in a post on his personal account on the social networking site “Facebook”, commenting on a group of photos he published of his tour in the exhibition, that the visit witnessed his meeting with many important figures, including the Russian artist Alexander Ponomarev, the French artist JR, and the American artist Farrell and Lorenzo Quinn, son of the famous actor Anthony Quinn, where he was keen to introduce them to some of the archaeological discoveries he made.
Ten of the most prominent and famous contemporary artists in the world will participate in the exhibition, including: Russian artist Alexander Ponomarev, American artist Gisela Colon, Brazilian artist Huao Trevisan, French artist JR; The Italian-American artist Lorenzo Quinn, the Egyptian artist Moataz Nasr, the Egyptian artist residing in Los Angeles Sherine Gerges, in addition to the British artists Shuster Mosley, Stephen Cox RA, and the Saudi artist, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Fahd.
