The completion of the restoration of the Palace of Muhammad Ali in Shubra, and awaiting the official opening date

Dr. Osama Talaat, Head of the Islamic, Coptic and Jewish Antiquities Sector, said that the restoration and maintenance work in the Muhammad Ali Palace in Shubra may have been completely finished, and he is waiting to set a date for its opening for a visit, as the palace will be a great addition to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

The head of the Islamic, Coptic and Jewish Antiquities Sector explained, in exclusive statements to "The Seventh Day", that the restoration work is carried out by the self-efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the restoration work in the palace is carried out with the latest modern scientific methods recognized internationally.

The development work in the palace includes the Al-Faqih Palace building and the rooms that make up the palace, including the “throne room and the names” of the family names of Muhammad Ali, food, billiards, the garden, the tourist walkway and the marina. The rare trees in the garden explain their types and ages in the back of the fountain building.


Umbrellas and seats are also provided for visitors in the palace garden, indicative and explanatory boards are installed, and visit paths are rehabilitated and made available for people with special needs, in order to improve the visit path, as some modifications are made to raise the efficiency of the services provided to visitors to improve their experience during the visit.
