The Fine Arts Sector, headed by Dr. Khaled Sorour, revealed the harvest of restoration of artworks during the month of February 2021 in the art museums of the sector, such as Mahmoud Khalil Museum and its campus, where the restoration and scientific documentation (photography - artistic registration - registration in the database) for 54 works Technically, one of the museum’s holdings in the workshop at the Island Museum.
As for the Gezira Museum, (80) artworks from the museum’s holdings were prepared and packed, and (20) artworks from the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in Alexandria were to be loaned to the Museum of the Administrative Capital, as well as preparing a technical report and an appraisal and technical assessment of the materials required for the restoration of a number ( 16) A painting of the royal family's works in light of the preparations for the opening of the museum.
As for the Museum of Egyptian Modern Art, a number of (305) works of art from the museum’s holdings have been restored and scientifically documented (filming - artistic recording - recording in the database), which consist of oil and paper paintings and sculptures with various materials for loan to the Museum of the Administrative Capital. 215) works of art consisting of (162 paintings - 53 sculptural works), and the rest of the works of art are in progress.
Among the assignments that took place outside the Gaza Strip, the restoration and scientific documentation that took place in the Abdin Palace (photography - artistic recording - registration in the database) for a number (1) of the holdings of the Abdeen Palace in the restoration laboratory in the palace.
