Dr. Ahmed Awad, head of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, revealed that during the last period he visited the Aswan Culture Palace to see the stages of its restoration and development. The year 2021, in proportion to the developments that occur in the palaces of other culture.
Ahmed Awwad had witnessed the opening of the Aswan Book Fair for the following year in a row, which was organized by Aswan University at its headquarters in "Sahara" inside a pavilion at the Faculty of Agriculture. The exhibition area ranges from 250 to 300 square meters, in which sectors such as: The Ministry of Culture And Dar Al Maaref, Al-Ahram, major academic and language publishing houses, and youth publishing houses.
It includes about 30 thousand books, containing hundreds of titles in various general knowledge, arts, literature and others. The exhibition aims to spread culture among university students in addition to providing books and scientific references that students need in studying and preparing various researches.
The exhibition will continue until December 31, and will be held on an area of 250 square meters with the participation of 20 publishers, including the sectors of the Ministry of Culture, “Culture Palaces, House of National Books and Archives, the Supreme Council of Culture, the Cultural Development Fund, the National Center for Translation and the Academy of Arts” and for the first time private publishing houses will participate.
The exhibition was preceded by a meeting that brought together the Minister of Culture, the Governor of Aswan and the President of Aswan University, where it was agreed to intensify creative activities throughout the governorate and to enhance communication with the creative people of its people, and the Minister of Culture presented each of the Aswan Governor and Aswan University President two memorial shields in appreciation of their efforts.
