CAIRO, 2 December 2019: Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Abu Bakr Hefni has asserted Egypt's support to the Cameroonian government's efforts to settle the North-West and South-West (Anglophone) crisis situation and to the national dialogue held in Yaounde in October, in conformity with the principles of the African Union in terms of finding African solutions to African problems.

This came at the end of Hefni's visit to Cameroon and his meeting with senior Cameroonian government officials including the presidency general secretary, the prime minister and the deputy foreign minister for relations with Islamic states, according to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry on Sunday.

He gave a lecture at the Cameroonian International Studies Institute on Egypt's foreign policy in light of Egypt's presidency of the African Union.
