Speaking to the Middle East News Agency following his arrival in Beirut on Wednesday to assume his diplomatic duties, Khallaf expressed pride in his new appointment and stressed that Egypt would remain a key partner and supporter of Lebanon.
The ambassador said he looked forward to expanding cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, trade and cultural affairs, while exploring new opportunities that could further strengthen their longstanding partnership and serve their mutual interests.

Khallaf stressed that Egypt would continue to stand alongside Lebanon and support its sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and stability as the country navigates ongoing challenges.

Turning to the Egyptian community in Lebanon, Khallaf said serving Egyptian nationals would be among the embassy’s foremost priorities.
He expressed his intention to meet members of the community as soon as possible, listen to their concerns and aspirations, and work to address their needs.
The ambassador also pledged to maintain regular communication with Egyptian residents and provide the support and consular assistance available through the embassy.
