CAIRO – 18 April 2021: Egypt urged the international community to resume supporting the developing countries to manufacture the anti-coronavirus vaccine.

In his speech at a high-level political virtual meeting held by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) on the coronavirus pandemic, Shoukry talked about the challenges that the international community face regarding the unfairness of vaccine distribution.

He noted that the unfairness of distribution made the pandemic be prolonged, calling for continuing the financial support to the International Vaccine Access Center (IVAC).
