President Sisi orders continuing coastal protection projects across Egypt

CAIRO- 3 October 2021: Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gave orders to resume implementing all projects related to coast protection across the country based on the highest engineering and environmental standards, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi in a statement.


President's directives were given during a meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Commander of the Navy Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, Chairman of Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Ihab Al-Far, Naval Major General Dr. Ashraf Al-Assal Head of the Navy’s Marine Area Division, Captain Mohamed Al-Makhzangi of the Naval Forces Command and Dr. Hassan Abu Sedaa Engineering Adviser to the Naval Forces Command.



"This shall be done while reviewing studies on countering the erosion phenomenon in order to protect the land, facilities, and investments along these coasts," said Radi in a statement.



He added that the President was updated on progress in the implementation of projects pertinent to the development and protection of Egyptian coasts, especially the Mediterranean coast.
