CAIRO - 30 October 2019: Sources at the Ministry of Antiquities revealed that Minister of Antiquities Khaled al-Anani will announce a new discovery in the area of the Pyramids.

It is a revelation that will draw the world's attention in November following the Egyptology conference to be held at the ministry headquarters in Zamalek.

The Ministry of Antiquities recently announced the discovery of an archaeological cache of 30 coffins in El-Assasif area of the western mainland in Luxor, 200 meters from the Temple of Hatshepsut, by the Egyptian archaeological mission. The ancient coffins date back to the 22nd Dynasty. They were placed in a warehouse to protect them from theft.

Bearing the name "El-Assasif Cache", an integrated hall, where the ancient coffins are set to be showcased, is currently being prepared in the Grand Egyptian Museum.
