Final preparations are being made to implement part of the activities of the People of Egypt project with the launch of the activities of the Fourth Cultural Forum for Frontier Youth organized by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, where the preparatory meeting for the Youth Forum was held on Saturday evening, September 19, 2020, in the presence of the Head of the Central Administration for the Southern Upper Egypt Region, Head of the Central Administration for Studies and Research, Director General of the culture of youth and workers, the participants from the youth of the border governorates "North and South Sinai, New Valley, Aswan, Halayeb, Shalateen and Cairo", and the cultural forum is scheduled to open on the evening of Sunday 20 September, currently in the Hurghada Culture Palace, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Awad - President of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces and a number of the Authority’s leaders. This will continue until September 25.
The activities of the forum include holding artistic and literary workshops, environmental craft workshops, leather crafts, with the participation of Dr. Majid Hammad, and the newly developed textile works with the participation of Eng. Nahid Amin, heritage boats with Saeed Al-Bagoury, arctic art supervised by Saeed Mohammed, a theater drama workshop with director Hossam Abdel-Azim, in addition to a literary workshop with the poet Mujib Eid, and the activities of the forum include an exhibition of the products of artistic workshops executed during the period of the forum.
The head of the Central Administration for Studies and Research welcomed the participating youth and asked the youth what workshops are expected to be implemented in the forum? What is their goal to participate in it? Young people interacted in responding to her questions, explaining that their goal is to ensure the acquisition of different cultures and learn various crafts and talents, as well as the types of workshops that will be held and that all the efforts made in the forum are for the sake of youth, their service, and the service of the nation.
It is worth noting that the forum aims to fuse the cultural diversity of the border governorates into a single melting pot, preserving the Egyptian heritage, folklore, and the inheritance of environmental crafts between different generations in order to preserve the Egyptian identity and culture.
